The president of The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), Robert Allegrini and the president of 1000 Miglia Experience Florida USA, Massimo Cicatiello, announce the partnership agreement between the two entities to enhance the link between the United States and Italy. The race, in its Experience formula, will be run in Florida next year, Feb. 22-25, creating an ideal link between the two countries.
The goal of the partnership is to make the “Feccia Rossa” one of the best-known Italian brands in the United States. The 1000 Miglia, says Massimo Cicatiello, “is a race based on an almost century-old tradition and is a symbol of Italian excellence in the world. Prestige, luxury, Made in Italy, this represents the Freccia Rossa, a timeless event. And it was almost a given that we could turn to NIAF and ask them to create an ideal connection with the best of America’s Italian communities.”
For Allegrini, “1000 Miglia is an event that has no equal in the world. An incredible vehicle of positive values. The ability to combine tradition, innovation, creativity, elegance, scenic beauty and Italian lifestyle has made the 1000 Miglia a symbol of Italian excellence in the world that finally lands in the US. This is what we make available to NIAF members with the agreement signed today.”
The memorandum of understanding signed by the two organizations stipulates that NIAF will be able to call itself the “Official Partner of “1000 Miglia Experience USA Florida,” promoting the race among its community in the United States and beyond. It will also facilitate the relationship with American counties/cities involved in the upcoming “1000 Miglia Experience USA Florida.”
